Associate Professor of Dance (Ballet)
Jeremy Lindberg, a native of Connecticut, was trained at the schools of the Joffrey Ballet, Boston Ballet and the Connecticut Ballet Company.
Lindberg is an instructor, performer and choreographer for ballet, opera dance, drama and concert dance.
His performance credits include: Principal, soloist and ensemble roles with North Atlantic Ballet, Granite State Ballet, Boston Ballet, Providence Opera, and Opera Company of Boston under the direction of Sarah Caldwell where he danced in the choreography by Patricia Birch in Aida and in Leonard Bernstein’s MASS. He has performed as a guest artist for companies such as Concert Ballet of Santo Domingo, DOM.
He has choreographed concert dance and has taught ballet both nationally and internationally. Lindberg has also staged multiple productions of classic ballets.
An experienced Flamenco dancer, he has performed, instructed and choreographed Flamenco for over twenty years.
Lindberg has served as guest artist faculty at Knox College and Mount Holyoke College. His degrees include a BFA in Dance from The Boston Conservatory, an MFA in Dance from Smith College and a degree in Culinary Arts from Johnson and Wales University.
He has taught Ballet, Jazz, and Flamenco studio courses as well as Dance History and Dance Graduate Studies here at OU since 1999.
