Auditions
All applicants must Apply to the University. However, acceptance notification is not required to audition for our program.
All auditioners are required to submit via Video Submission for assessment and the opportunity to be invited to attend the Live/In-Person Campus Audition. There is a $35.00 application fee for each application submitted.
Auditions are held once a semester at the OU School of Dance. Video submissions will be reviewed and assessed after the submission deadlines listed below. Video submissions will be reviewed by the faculty to screen prospective students for a callback invitation to the live in-person campus audition.
Applicants will be notified of a callback via email by the dates listed below.
Students invited to audition for both programs will have the opportunity to participate in Ballet and Modern auditions on the same-day. If invited to a live audition(s), please note students may also be also asked to participate in a brief interview with faculty.
Below are all the important dates leading up to the in-person audition on October 14, 2024.
September 6, 2024—Video submission deadline; faculty assessment begins.
September 16, 2024—Notification of video screening results will be emailed to all applicants by this date. Students invited to the in-person audition on October 14th will be provided with detailed instructions at this time.
October 14, 2024—In-person Audition at the School of Dance facilities. Times for auditions will be from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Please keep these times open in case of a callback.
