Bio

Damerah Estelle Coleman is a Ballet Performance major with minors in Arts Management and Entrepreneurship as well as Health and Exercise Science. She began her education at the Indianapolis School of Ballet and later pursued training at The Dance Artist Prep, studying under Preston Miller. Her training has been enriched through prestigious summer intensives, including Oregon Ballet Theatre, Carolina Ballet, Ballet West, Veyette Virtual Ballet School, Indiana University Ballet Theatre, Butler University, Ballet Chicago, and Indianapolis Ballet.

Performance highlights include The Nutcracker (Frau Silberhaus, Spanish Divertissement, Flower) at the University of Oklahoma, as well as Take Five by Michael Bearden, Serenade by George Balanchine, Deux Amours by Penny Saunders, Embraced by Sidra Bell, Sacred Ground by Caleb Mitchell, Memories by Michelle Rambo, and Untitled by Roxanne Lyst.

Beyond the stage, Damerah is passionate about arts leadership and community engagement. She serves as Social Media and Digital Marketing Coordinator for Indy Dance Council, Marketing Intern for the OU Dance Alumni Association, and contributes to the OU School of Dance Social Media Committee. She has also been actively involved in the Dean’s Student Advisory Council, serving as Vice President, as well as other arts initiatives.

She has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Sarah Hogan Memorial Scholarship, the David C Steel Heritage Scholarship, and multiple Dean’s List and academic honors.
