Keep the Dream Alive

Dear Friends of OU Dance,

Thank you for your years of support to the School of Dance. We are writing to you today with an important update regarding our annual fundraising gala, Once Upon a Dream. For many years, this event has been a highlight of our season, bringing together our dedicated supporters to celebrate the talent and hard work of our University of Oklahoma School of Dance students.

After careful consideration and planning, the School of Dance and planning committee has decided to pause our Once Upon a Dream gala in 2025. This is not a decision we have taken lightly, as we deeply value the support this event has provided.

We believe this pause will allow us the opportunity to step back, re-envision, and create an even more impactful and engaging event for 2026, to ensure that future festivities continue to effectively support our students and the mission of the School of Dance for years to come.

While we will miss celebrating with you at Once Upon a Dream this year, our commitment to our students remains unwavering. Their dedication, passion, and artistic growth are at the heart of everything we do. To ensure their continued success during this transition year, we are launching our "Keep the Dream Alive" campaign.

We understand and appreciate the vital role you play in the success of the University of Oklahoma School of Dance. This campaign offers you a direct and immediate way to support our talented students. Your generous contributions to "Keep the Dream Alive" will directly benefit scholarships, production costs, guest artist residencies, and other essential needs that allow our students to flourish.
